Body-centred councelling

I believe that true growth and development happen when we feel safe and seen by those around us. It starts with the belief that you are okay just as you are. That may sound paradoxical. People don’t usually seek help because everything is fine. Sure there may be things you’re running into. That you want to explore, understand, deepen or develop. It takes courage and a certain vulnerability to look at these. That is why it is so important to approach this without judgment with compassion from an open curiosity and authenticity.

Your body is an important link in this process. Things you experience, think and feel show up in your body. As Bessel van der Kolk so beautifully puts it in his book, “The body keeps the score.” This is why I always encourage you to reconnect feelings and thoughts with what you sense and feel in your body.

Everything I offer is simply an invitation. You are the one in charge. You decide what resonates with you and what doesn’t. There is no one size fits all solution. I’m here to connect with you as a person and to use the tools that feel right for you. If something doesn’t quite fit, you always have the freedom to set it aside, and we’ll work together to discover what does.

I work with people of all ages—children, adolescents, and adults—who are dealing with a variety of challenges. These include:

Autism, Giftedness, Burnout, Cancer, Mental health issues, Grief and loss, Trauma-related concerns, Post-COVID effects, Intellectual and/or physical disabilities.

If you’re curious about whether body-oriented counseling might be right for you, or if you simply have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to hear from you!
